I have recently graduated with a BSc Zoology degree from the University of Pretoria and I am now working towards my BSc Honours degree.

Previously, I have volunteered within the Mammal Research Institute (MRI) and the Marion Island Marine Mammal Programme (MIMMP) alongside PhD and MSc students at the University of Pretoria. I have also identified marine life in underwater footage from the University of Auckland and volunteered at the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa. Ultimately, I would like to work with all forms of marine life, from plankton to whales, and aid in the conservation thereof.

My BSc Honours project with the MIMMP investigates the stable isotope values of Southern elephant seal (SES) whiskers in search of age-related niches and potentially identifying niche-partitioning within the Marion Island population. Although isotopes may be part of my current research, I hope to broaden my capabilities across interdisciplinary fields in research.
